Match one page to a real customer need
Plan separate pages where the services have meaningfully different questions: panel upgrades, EV chargers and routine electrical service. For example, build an EV-charger installation page explaining assessment, permits and next steps. Explain who the service is for, what happens after an inquiry, what affects scope and what the customer should prepare. Use descriptive page titles and headings without repeating a town name unnaturally.
Build useful location coverage
List areas you actually serve and connect them to relevant services. A location page should add useful local detail, such as project examples, travel boundaries or service availability, with permission to publish the material. Do not generate dozens of interchangeable city pages just to target keywords. Do not ask homeowners to diagnose wiring, open panels or select electrical specifications without a professional assessment.
Keep the Business Profile accurate
Use the real business name, appropriate categories, accurate hours, contact details and a link to the relevant site. Follow Google’s rules for service-area businesses and addresses. Google says local results consider relevance, distance and prominence; a website cannot erase the distance factor. Request honest reviews from actual customers without incentives or review gating, and respond professionally.
Fix the technical basics before adding more pages
- Check that important pages return HTTP 200 and can be crawled and indexed.
- Use one canonical URL per page and redirect retired addresses to the closest replacement.
- Submit an accurate sitemap in Search Console and inspect representative pages.
- Compress images, set image dimensions and check the mobile layout and call button.
- Use truthful structured data that matches visible business information; do not fabricate ratings.
- Link service and area pages from relevant navigation and content.
Measure business inquiries, not just visits
Track calls and completed forms, then mark whether each inquiry is qualified and becomes a booked job. For this trade, record project type, property ZIP, residential or commercial use and desired timing. Use Search Console to see which searches and pages gain impressions and clicks. Review trends over comparable periods; seasonal demand can change the numbers. A ranking report without inquiry quality is incomplete.
A practical first month
Week one: inventory pages, test contact paths and correct profile details. Week two: improve the main revenue-service page and add approved proof. Week three: improve an installation assessment request and mobile usability. Week four: inspect index coverage and review real inquiry outcomes. Continue based on what customers ask and which services generate suitable work.
