Painting contractor website cost: build prices and ongoing expenses

What a painting website costs to build and keep running: our own prices, published vendor examples, and one-year and three-year totals, so you can compare quotes on the same terms.

What the price ranges actually cover

Website: $399, paid once. A finished site you own, with up to 6 service pages, 10 town pages and 2 website tools, live in about 7 business days after we have your details. No required monthly fee: host it with us for $9/month or take the files and host it yourself. AI tools are quoted separately. Website + Marketing: $699/month. A bigger site (12 service pages, 50 town pages, every tool for your trade, plus AI tools), hosting, call tracking, local SEO and Google Business Profile upkeep every month, and 2 blog posts and 2 edits a month. No setup fee; cancel anytime. Any ad budget is optional and billed separately. Compare the two plans.

There is no single reliable price for every freelancer or agency. As a named vendor example, WebFX publishes web-design service costs spanning $1,000–$100,000 per project. That broad service range is not a typical price for a small painting contractor site. Ask each provider for a quote against the same brief.

What changes the cost for a painting contractor business

Budget around galleries by project type, preparation explanations and estimate scheduling. Preparation, repairs, access and finish choices affect price. Show process and finished detail rather than relying on a price-per-room promise. A simple contact form and a custom workflow that calculates prices, routes files or connects a CRM are different scopes. Include mobile review, form testing, redirects from the old site and a clear handover in the quote.

Prepare your service list, operating areas, approved photos and business facts before requesting quotes. Missing material may require photography, copywriting or additional revision work. Those costs should be listed before you commit.

First-year and three-year totals

Website costs $399 once: $399 in year one with your own hosting, or $507 with our optional $9/month hosting. Over three years the totals are $399 or $723. Website + Marketing is $699/month, or $8,388 for 12 months and $25,164 for 36 months, including ongoing services. These totals exclude domains, taxes, optional AI add-ons and ad spend. Compare equivalent scopes before treating a difference as savings.

A $499/month agency example totals $5,988 in one year and $17,964 over three. It may include work our build fee does not, such as ongoing campaigns or SEO. Confirm ownership and deliverables before treating the difference as savings. Use the editable calculator for your actual quote.

Questions to put in the written scope

  • Which pages, copy, images and revision rounds are included?
  • Who owns the domain, source and connected accounts after payment?
  • What renews, at what price, and what happens if hosting is canceled?
  • Who tests forms, phone links and tracking, and fixes launch problems?
  • Are migrations, tools, accessibility work and ongoing support included?
