Explaining plan terms, re-service visits and cancellations on your website

Unclear terms are one of the main reasons visitors hesitate to sign up for a plan. A short, plain-language terms section on your plan page, covering coverage, re-service visits, payment and cancellation, builds trust and cuts down on calls and disputes later.

Coverage in a list

List the pests covered by each plan and the ones that cost extra (often termites, bed bugs or wildlife). Visitors scan lists faster than paragraphs, and a clear list prevents surprise invoices.

Re-service visits

If you return between scheduled visits at no charge when covered pests come back, say so, along with any conditions (for example, that the customer has kept up with scheduled service). If you charge, say that too. Do not describe this as a guarantee unless it is one.

Visit frequency and scheduling

Explain how often you visit, how customers are notified and whether they need to be home. If seasons change the schedule, mention it.

Payment and cancellation

  • How customers are billed: per visit, monthly or annually.
  • Whether there is a minimum term or an initial service fee.
  • How to cancel and how much notice you need.

Keep these consistent with the agreement customers actually sign, and update the website when your agreement changes.

Where the terms belong

Put a summary on the plan page and link to the full agreement if you publish one. Repeat the key points in your confirmation email. Your website should match your paperwork word for word on anything that matters.
