Make the measure the main action
Every material page should end with a measure request, and the button should be visible on phones without scrolling far. If you also have a showroom, offer both paths, but make the measure the primary one on installation pages.
Use calculators as a lead-in
A "How much flooring do I need?" calculator turns room sizes into square feet and boxes, with waste for the layout. An estimate calculator shows rough installed ranges by material and removal, labeled as examples until you enter your own prices. Both should finish with the measure request, carrying the visitor's numbers into the form.
Ask questions that shape the visit
- Which rooms, and approximate size.
- The current floor and whether it needs removing.
- Slab or wood subfloor, if known.
- Stairs and transitions.
- Whether the customer has chosen material or wants advice.
- A preferred day and time.
Set expectations
Say how long a measure takes, whether there is a charge and what the customer receives afterwards (a written quote, samples, a schedule). Visitors book more readily when they know what they are agreeing to.
Follow up quickly
Send each request to email, keep them in one list and confirm the appointment the same day if you can. A measure request that waits two days often goes to someone else.
